Deeplish Primary Academy

RE

At Deeplish we follow the Rochdale agreed RE syllabus. The syllabus makes space for all pupils to explore their own beliefs, values and traditions, and those of others, enabling them to respect, understand and co-operate with people from all religions and worldviews.

The National Curriculum states that every state-funded school must offer a curriculum which is balanced and broadly based; which promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils at the school and of society; and which prepares pupils at the school for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life. All state schools must teach Religious Education to pupils at every Key Stage.

We want to equip pupils with ambition beyond the minimum statutory requirements of the Rochdale Agreed Syllabus and prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life
