Art Intent

At Deeplish we believe that high-quality Art lessons will inspire children to think innovatively and create great art pieces. We also aim to inspire children to become artists outside of the classroom and understand that art is subjective and apparent around them.

We will deliver a curriculum that:

• Provides a series of progressive skills and knowledge linked to the N.C. in art, which is mapped across year groups accordingly.
• Exposes children to topic specific (level 3) words, which allow children to assimilate as much subject knowledge as possible.
• Offers children the opportunities to develop artistic journaling skills that progress throughout their time at school, such as drawing and sketching, painting, digital media, sculpting and 3D art.
• Fosters in children an interest, love and understanding in art.
